LISTENING THERAPY

"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change".   Carl Rogers

Change begins with talking

I’m Sharon, a counselling professional dedicated to listening to you and working alongside you on your journey.

We can all feel overwhelmed at times. Sometimes it’s hard to see how our situation can improve and we continue to repeat patterns that no longer help us.

Approximately 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health condition each year.  Counselling can help to support you when life gets difficult.

If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement, relationship breakdowns, health or family problems, even taking the first step and talking about it can be an enormous help and can begin to ease your mind.

Exploring your past can help you become aware of how it can impact the present and how you may better approach life in the future.

I work as an integrative counsellor which means I use a combination of approaches to make sense of what you bring and tailor those approaches to your personal needs.

I aim to offer a holistic listening, supportive and collaborative relationship to incorporate your mental and emotional health in a safe, calm, nurturing and confidential environment, allowing you to talk through any difficulties or issues to identify ways in which you can improve or make changes.

About me

My previous working experience in event management, human resources and office management was fulfilling and enjoyable particularly because I was able to form connections with a diverse group of people and support colleagues in reaching their goals.

As a counsellor I am now able to experience those rewards with my clients by exploring their needs and supporting them in identifying and making changes towards reaching their full potential.

I offer a combination of therapies to help you overcome personal challenges and allow you to achieve your individual life goals. I work with each client’s personal needs in order to unlock their full potential. Contact me to start your proactive journey today.

How I deliver therapy

I offer a short free zoom meeting, allowing us to explore your needs and to see if we can work together.   It is important you feel safe and comfortable in my company to allow us to build a trusting working alliance. After that, weekly sessions will last 50 minutes.

I work with young adults from 18 years through to older adults

I am able to offer flexible hours, both daytime and evening.

I can offer therapy by telephone, Zoom or face-to-face sessions in a safe and calm environment, from my private therapy room.
